CAN YOU DIG IT!

Ahhhhhh, yes. It's sunday and I'm home from work. The first two days of tech weren't too bad. I must say that the day goes by pretty quickly. Yesterday it flew by and today was pretty good. I do have to work tomorrow, but that's okay it's just a half day and I get time and a half for it. But, I'm still going to look for a new job because I would like to have my weekends off.

Mike, thanks for agreeing with me. Like I said, A-rod is the new Dan Marino. The player with the best stats to never win when it matters the most, he he. Malone, we need bullpen help. There's nothing else to say. Our pitching is the exact opposite of the 2006 team. Well, let's say good bye to August and hello to September.

Hey Roger, I left you a nice note on our fantasy football league page.

Also I feel like your blog entries recently have been very short and not as thoughtful as some of your past work. Could you have been pressing a bit too hard to reach the 15 post mark in August? I feel like this blog needs some rejuvenation.

Here are my picks for the MLB Playoffs (as of August 31):

ALDS:
Chicago White Sox over Tampa Bay Rays (4 Games)
Boston Red Sox over Los Angeles Angels (5 Games)

NLDS:
Chicago Cubs over Arizona Diamondbacks (4 Games)
Milwaukee Brewers over Philadelphia Phillies (3 Games)

ALCS:
Boston Red Sox over Chicago White Sox (6 Games)

NLCS:
Milwaukee Brewers over Chicago Cubs (7 Games)

World Series:
Boston Red Sox over Milwaukee Brewers (5 Games)

Sorry about the shorter posts but I've been trying to write them while I'm at lunch and my lunch time got cut in half so I don't have much time. I'll try to write it when I'm not at work so I have more time. I also disagree with some of your picks, especially the Red Sox winning it all since you don't even have a #1 starter on your roster now and Shilling & Beckett are out. I think you guys lose in the first round to the Angels.

Also, for those of you who think we have a vpilf, here's a clip from '88 for you guys. Hope you like it:

Roger, less than 2 weeks until you are here. I can hardly wait. I can sell you a stag ticket, so far I have twice as many sold as Perrotti. (Rob, you do not count in this analysis)

Kohanski those are some very good analytic skills you have there. Are you an MMA Underwriter for Select Accounts (125-300 emp.) in the NC Region by any chance?

Also, I was just reading a baseball article about how A-Rod is, by some sabremetric measurement, having the least "clutch" season of anyone in MLB this year and the 20th least "clutch" season for any player since 1974.

James and Koho, according to Judge Dre you are supposed to also buy tickets to the stag. I didn't think you were supposed to, but apparently you are. So when you bring me the money for ALL of the tickets that you guys sold, please remember to give me money for your tickets as well. If you don't like that decision, then talk to Andre.

Rob, how biased can your picks for the MLB playoffs get? You really think the Red Sox are gonna beat the Angels? I'd be willing to be bet $10 right now that they Red Sox do not get to the ALCS this year. I think the Mets have a better shot at the NLCS than the Red Sox have at the ALCS.

Here are my un-biased picks for the MLB playoffs, which I would bet on if I were a betting man:

ALDS: White Sox over Rays (5 games)
Angels over Red Sox (4 games)

NLDS: Cubs over D-Backs (3 games)
Brewers over Mets (5 games)

ALCS: Angels over White Sox (5 games)

NLCS: Cubs over Brewers (7 games)

World Series: Angels over Cubs (6 games)

We should keep these predictions and see who is closer.

Malone, you get my time and that's it. You can't milk a dead horse.

Here are my unbiased picks for the playoffs. Also, the Yankees still have a chance. I won't totally give up yet.

ALDS: Rays over Twins (4 games)
Angels over Yankees (5 games)

NLDS: Cubs over D-Backs (3 games)
Brewers over Mets (4 games)

ALCS: Rays over Angels (7 games)

NLCS: Cubs over Brewers (6 games)

World Series: Cubs over Rays (7 games)

Remember kids, there's only one October!!

Next time you come over Malone can you bring me some food and water, this wedding is bleeding me dry... By the way, are you and Michelle still looking for the ceiling fans to be put in, attic floored and holes patched? I am done with the breezeway now so I should have more time to do it. Let me know.

The Red Sox are the only team with all of their minor league affiliates finishing with a winning record this year.

I may not be around for a few days guys, I have to go to the Gulf Coast with the National Guard to help with the hurricane. Hopefully they cancel the mission since it doesn't seem to be too bad. I will try to check this blog on my iPhone if we have electricity down there.

Way to be "un-biased" and put the Yankees in the playoffs Perrotti.

And I also don't think you guys should have to pay to go to the stag, Rob either, but according to Andre that is the case. So take it up with him and quit your bellyaching. Andre and my father both have to pay as well.

Koho, I never needed anything with ceiling fans, so I'm not sure where you got that from. The attic is a late fall/winter project most likely. But if you are looking for some extra cash, we do still need the holes filled in our walls. Also, I'm always available to help with manual labor for these projects of yours. I don't have many skills, other than ninja star throwing, but I can help with things like ripping off siding. Plus I won't cry like Perrotti before, during and after the work.

Speaking of not-clutch, my entire keeper league pitching roster should be added to that list. They have been horendous the past month or so. Now I just have to hope Bagley can hold off Perrotti on his own.

There is still nothing "ilf" about that lady.

Malone, there is plenty of "ilf" about "that lady" I hope Perrotti is not wearing off on you, you know we have had situations with him in the past.

Michelle said something about putting fans in the other rooms upstairs. I don't care if we do it or not, it just needs to get done first if you are putting a floor in the attic (depends if we have to run extra wires for the fan, but regardless a fan box needs to be put in from above). Like I said though it makes no difference to me if we do it or not.

As far as the floor in the attic, if we do it I would rather do it when there it is still a semi-decent temp outside. I do not want to be cutting wood outside in freezing temps. So I would say anytime now until the end of Oct or wait until the spring. That is if you guys really want to do it.

I can do the holes almost anytime, just let me know what works for you.

P.S. Mets rules and will win it all.
