Oh wow

Well, why wouldn't Licata and his friends still do the keeper league? Did one of them not pay? I wasn't aware that Licata didn't want to do the keeper league anymore. Is that true? I would still like to do the keeper league and the home run league. Was there a problem with the money Malone? I wouldn't mind being commish of the keeper league but I wouldn't be real effective collecting money b/c I live out here in Ohio. One idea I was thinking was maybe we could open up something like a paypal account and then everyone could just put their money into that one? Just a thought. If there are problems getting the money(I know I'm not the greatest because, well I'm forgetful) I would understand if the leagues folded(what are we? the arena football league?) but I'd definitely like to continue doing both. And also the fantasy football league. If anyone has any other ideas on how we can setup and make the league run more efficiently please voice them.

Well Licata's friend Danny, who couldn't make the draft last season, never paid for the keeper league. I haven't seen Licata since the draft and he's living in Las Vegas or somewhere crazy like that now. Licata also owes me money for the football league. I've sent him 2 emails and a facebook message but no word from him.

I don't know whether or not they want to do the keeper league next year or not, but it will be increasingly tough every season to get everyone together. We may just want to start from scratch with a better group of guys. I don't really feel like organizing it though as I take all the ridicule when something goes wrong. I am not a leader. I follow.

I don't know if a paypal account would work, but if you want to be commissioner and try it then go for it.

"I am not a leader. I follow."

Thats all I needed to hear.

Haha if you don't know that about me by now then you are a blind to the world. How long have you known me? And this still surprises you?

I knew this from the day I met you, I just never heard it come out of your mouth. You would have to be an idiot to not know this about you.

I can't believe you sent me the check in the mail Malone. I literally live 2 miles down the road. I think the postman saw this and probably laughed at your laziness. I've been a lot of things in my life including Sponge Bob, Big Bird, and lazy, but this takes the cake.

Overall, it is the Licata's friends responsibility to pay you, but you really should have not let it come this far. You had all season to be a pain and ask him. I don't think you nagged enough. However, I think we all learned a lesson here and need to move on.

Also, I would be even more terrified if Roger was the commissioner. Malone is at least responsible and has good morals. Roger goes to a church in sneakers. He makes Star Wars related jokes. He is a relatively nice person, but he is just not made for this job. I think Rob should do it. He's a leader and won't take any junk. Malone does a good job as the HR league commissioner so I think you should continue doing that.

Hello everyone. It's been a very long week for me, and it's not over yet, but I have been reading the blog all week and I'm thrilled with the increased posting lately and have plenty to say.

I spent the week in New York City for work. I got drunk a lot, stayed out until 3am one night, talked to some really trashy girls, ate really good food, and drank some more. And did some work too. We stayed at one of the most iconic, luxurious hotels in the world and overall it was a great week. During my train ride home yesterday (a day on which I battled a monumental hangover), the train stopped and the crew announced "There has been a fatality up on the track ahead, so we will be delayed until further notice while the authorities investigate". So my train got into Hartford almost two hours late, then I have to go to National Guard this morning on almost no sleep, and I'm going back again tomorrow morning despite the snow.

Anyway, my thoughts on the fantasy baseball situation are as follows:

I would like the league to continue. I think we should send out a final email that we are going to boot anyone who didn't pay from the league and give their teams to other people. My friend Mike at work wants to join, and my brother also might. If you guys know anyone else, they can take over one of the teams too. I would still like to see the league expanded to 10 teams, at one point 4 league members agreed on this at Malone's wedding. Perotti, thank you for recognizing my natural leadership abilities and I am honored that you'd like me to lead the league. However, as I am going to Iraq in July, this would not be a good year for me. While I'm overseas I am hoping that I have internet and can update my team, but who knows. I will also miss half of the 2010 season.

Let's continue the conversation and move towards a positive resolution. Did anyone do anything fun this weekend?

Robert, I'm glad to hear you're back safely. Sounds like a good time. I wish you were going to Vegas with us in July... now I'll have to hang out with Canz, haha.

As for the keeper league, I think that if we are going to continue on we'll have to replace Licata and his 2 friends. However, even if we get 3 people to take over, how do we decide who gets which team. Plus adding a 10th team would be nice, but would also be very tough. I will try to send out an email sometime within the next week to determine who will still be playing. We may want to start from scratch if it will be too tough to coordinate replacing/adding teams.
