Midweek Update

So, I guess it's Wednesday. Well, I can never tell what day it is. Every day feel like the same except for Sunday so I just tend to forget what day it is. Oh well. I go back to the dr tomorrow to get my shoulder re-evaluated. I'm pretty sure I'm headed for the 15 day dl retroactive to last wednesday, but we'll see. I may need to go onto the 60 day dl. My shoulder still hurts when I'm at work no matter how many meds I take which makes me feel wonderful! I do have an interview for another job tomorrow so I might be changing jobs if the offer is good enough. Basically I'd be happy with making around as much as I do now plus getting the holidays off. Is that too much to ask? Is it? I don't think so. I'd be happy if I got some of them off, unlike where I'm at and I get no holidays off. I'll keep you posted. I'm thinking I'll probably have to keep searching, though. I just have a bad feeling.

I read on deadspin that this year's superbowl ticket prices are going to the be the lowest in a while. I laughed when I read that. I'm not surprised though being as it's the Cardinals and the Steelers. I still think it'll be a good superbowl though and I'm hoping the Cardinals win. How is the ticketnetwork football club going? Do you guys win games or still lose most of them?

I must say that I'm happy that we're keeping the fantasy baseball league going. I think we should still do the home run league because I won it this past year and finished second the year before. Hopefully I'll run away with it again this up coming year. I think I will, ha ha.

Hey Roger,

Our soccer season is over, we did 2 sessions and lost every game in the first session and won 3 games in the second session. We had some very new, inexperienced players so it was a really rough season. By the end we were using a lot of ringers since a lot of the inexperienced players had already quit. Also, lots of people were getting angry with me because apparrantly I am too competitive or something.

What type of job are you interviewing for Roger? I hope your shoulder feels better.

As for the Super Bowl... the Arizona offense is good, but the Pittsburgh defense is really, really good. I think they rank 1st and 2nd in the NFL in passing and rushing defense. It will be very easy for them to stuff the run and make Arizona throw the ball, and once they start their pass rush I think Kurt Warner has about a 35% chance of getting knocked out of the game with injury. I've got to hand it to Warner though, I thought he was washed up like 5 years ago. I do like the guy. I will hold off on making a score prediction for now. I'm sure we'll have a full Super Bowl discussion in the next week or so.

Good luck with your interview Roger. I know you'll kill it! Haha.

It's looking like the draft will be on Sunday, April 5th at about 1 PM. Will you be able to come to CT for that weekend Roger? It'd be cool if you could go to the Mets/Sox exhibition game too, but it depends how much time you'll have.

For the Super Bowl, I am still sticking with my original pick of the Steelers winning it. You guys were all pansies and didn't pick anyone. I think the score will be 31-24.

Apparently we have a new president? Some half-white dude? Anyone know about that?

Here are my thoughts:

- Scoring should be changed. I propose that each event results in 1 victory point for the team that wins the overall event. We'll have an odd number of events to make sure that there will be one definite winner. (unless you guys want to do an even number, in hopes that we tie and can settle it with a game of war or no-peak).
- I agree with Koho, that we should do all events at the same location together. I say we start at the park, then do the Malone residence events, and then do any other location's events.
- Here are a couple of rules I think need to be added:
- Anyone who complains (Perrotti), their team will lose 1 victory point.
- Basketball is straight-up no blood, no foul.
- One (1) full beer must be consumed by each athlete in the competition after each event. Anyone who pukes, loses 1 point for their team, per pukage.
- Each athlete participating must wear a TicketNetwork sponsored shirt. Also, wristbands, headbands, and kneepads are strongly encouraged.
- I propose that the actual event list be determined via a selection process between each team similar to the way a jury is selected. I propose nine (9) total events. We come up with a full list of events, both teams can add to the list. Once we have a full list, the 2 teams take turns removing one event from the list at a time. The final 9 events remaining will determine the competition. We will have to wait until after this list is complete, before we can truly set the schedule, as well as set the rules for each event.
- The actual event will have to be moved to either May 2nd (makeup date of the 3rd) or May 16th (makeup date of the 17th), due to the fact that Michelle will not want to be around for this competition.

Here is a full list of all events that were proposed and some that I've added myself:
1. Men's One-Mile Run
2. Men's Two-on-Two Basketball
3. Men's Double Tennis
4. Men's TP Foosball
5. Men's Basement Buttball
6. Men's Bocci
7. Men's Shuttle Run
8. Men's Flag Football
9. Men's Ladderball
10. Men's Bowling
11. Men's Badmitton
12. Men's Whiffleball Home Run Derby
13. Men's Mini Golf
14. Men's Tichu
15. Men's Setback
16. Men's Tug-of-War
