Sat Morning

So, it's Saturday morning. In less than an hour Ohio State will start their dismantling of a horrible Michigan team. I'd go drive somewhere but there's sooooo much traffic around here there's no point. I remember my first Saturday working at dish during an OSU homegame, I left right after the game got over and it took me 45 minute when it should have taken me 15. Ha ha. Oh well.

So, last week I broke down and I bought season one of the show Jeremiah. I'm pretty sure I've written about it before and you guys probably just ignored it but it's a show that was on Showtime and it stars Luke Perry & Malcom Jamaal Warner(Theo from the Cosby show) in a post-apocalyptic America. I like it, not surprising, but I must say I had a good experience buying it. I looked around a couple websites to see who had the best price because you can't find it in stores. Best Buy, Circuit City, Barnes & Noble and Borders were all too expensive. Walmart & Amazon had the best prices but I decided to go with Walmart because they have the ship to store option in which they just send the product to the store and you go pick it up with no shipping charges. I thought that was pretty nice. The website says that it takes about 7-10 business days for the product to arrive and then you have like 2 weeks to pick it up. Well, it only took like 3 days for the item to arrive, which I thought was pretty quick. And it only took like 5 seconds for them to find the package. All in all it was a really good experience and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to buy something online and not have to pay for shipping and not really wait that long. One problem with shipping an item to your house is that most of the time you're at work(unless you're Malone) so they either leave it there, where someone can steal it, or leave you a tag on your door and then you have to go to fedex/ups/dhs place to pick it up. Walmart takes these problems away with their ship to store(I'm pretty sure everyone else has this but still, it's pretty cool when a rare item gets to you this quickly with no hassle). So, that's that.

Well, the only big free agent off the market now is Ryan Dempster re-signed with the Cubs. I was hoping the Mets would have had a chance to sign him but I can't be mad at the cubs for getting him back. Now the question is will he be as good as he was last year?

I saw Zack and Miri make a porno last night. I was actually pretty surprised by it. I read a bad review of it so I wasn't sure what to think of the movie but I pretty much laughed throughout the movie. I'm starting to wonder when the guys from the Kevin Smith movies started to morph with the guys from the Judd Apatow shows/movies? It just seems like they're all just one big gang and they're just all in each other movies. Now all they have to do is add in Adam Sandler and all of his buddies and you'd have "the empire" of comedians. I saw this at the movie tavern out here which is one of the top 2 places to watch movies around here because the food is amazing. If you guys ever make it out here(oh yeah, I forgot to say this before, Rob my 30th b-day falls on a friday so you guys could come out to celebrate) we'll have to go so you can see how great it is.

Has any watched either The Terminator: The Sarah Conor Chronicles or Sons of Anarchy? I really like both shows. I don't think The Terminator will last another season but I think it's a really great show. Sons of Anarchy got signed on another season so I know there will be a season 2.

Great advertising for Walmart Roger. If I did that, I'm sure they would never be able to find the package. I always manage to talk to the dumbest people at every store I go to.

NFL Picks
4 - Giants
3 - Ravens
2 - Redskins
1 - Falcons

Hey Roger, sorry I haven't been posting very much lately.

Anyway, 2 fridays ago me, Malone, Perotti were all over Kohanski's place. Kohanski first invited us over for tacos. Me and Malone went over at 6:30 to find that the tacos were waiting for us when we arrived. It was lovely. Then we learned that Perotti wasn't coming over until after we were done with the tacos because he had tacos 3 days earlier and didn't want them again. Long story.

Anyway, we were trying to decide what to do with the rest of our night. Someone said "casino", and we all wanted to gamble, but no one wanted to drive all the way to the casino. Then, I think it was Perotti who said "scratch lotto tickets". After a little bit of arguing, we all chipped in $5 and agreed to buy five $2 tickets and two $5 tickets. We huddled up and all put our hands in the middle of the huddle, in a show of solidarity. Me and Perotti rode down to the gas station and bought a $5 Red Sox, $5 Yankees, and five $2 "Holly Jolly" Christmas-themed scratch tickets. Well, we went back to Kohanski's house and after trying to decide who would get to scratch which tickets (the process involved a random number generator), we ended up with like $76 after all the scratching was done. Kohanski scratched $58 on one ticket alone. We went back to the gas station 2 more times and bought a couple more tickets each time, until our total money was $80 and each person profited by $15. It was funny because each time we went back to the gas station to either redeem our winnings or buy new tickets, a different duo of people went into the store. The first time it was me and Perotti, the second time it was me and Kohanski, the third time it was Kohanski and Malone (I think, I don't really remember). It was a crazy night, our celebrations were very animated, and Holly Jolly will forever be in our hearts.

It was quite delightful. I'd like to point out that Perrotti suggested the scratch tickets because we were taunting him and pointing out how he will never make any stupid bets with us. So he thought he scratch tickets would make up for it. Don't worry though, there will be more taunting.

And I'd like to point out my picks were better than Robs as I got all 4 point ones correct and he only had 2. I'd have 18 points going into tonights game I believe.

Malone maybe we should take a break from taunting Perotti, last week was really rough for him in terms of the entire casino saga. I'm not sure what his self esteem level is right now but it can't be good.

I'm getting a Craps game for my iPhone so I'll be able to have a better understanding of that game

Malone, I will copy everyone one of your NFL picks this week so they better be good. You are on a hot streak. I lost the Redskins game by 1/2 point, so I got negative 2.

I did suggest the scratch tickets. It was another one of my brilliant ideas.

Also, no one cares to talk about the craps story. That's kinda funny to say. I rolled the point 3 times and had a few long rolls. Malone profited handsomely, I did pretty well myself. Rob decided to play blackjack and lost. He did win the heart of a certain young lady, so not all was lost. Kohanski was missed.
