Because apparently with yesterday's post, I've hit post #80. Also, it seems that I'm on fire now this month, as I've posted in three straight days! That could be a record for me, or not. I'm not sure. But I'll tell you what, I've got a giant case of the Mondays here at work. The end of the day can't come fast enough, ha ha. I swear, sometimes you just want to strangle some customers. And when you get three of them back to back to back, it doesn't help. I just keep telling myself that ncaa football is coming out tomorrow. Ncaa football is coming out tomorrow. You're weekend starts tomorrow night. Just make it til then. That's it!
Anywho, I'm done with my complaining. For now. Until my next post, probably. Ha ha. I'd like to start off by saying Mike Pelfrey, where have you been? Where has this pitcher been the last 2 and a half seasons? Really? He's on a 16 inning scoreless streak. He's had two straight shutouts. Hasn't allowed a walk in those two starts. It's about time. And I hope this Pelfrey stays, ha ha. I just hope he doesn't stay streaky like this year. He lost five in a row and now he's won 6 in a row. I knew he had it in him to be good so it's nice to see him pitch like he should. Also, the bullpen's been great to. 19 1/2 scoreless innings streak. That's pretty good considering how "eh" they've been this season. I like our chances in the second half to either win the NL East or make the Wild Card. We're only a half game back of the Phillies and 1 1/2 behind either the Cardinals or the Brewers. I can't remember. Oh well.
I'd like to put out a missing person notice to the Tampa Bay Rays. If anyone's seen them, please call their General Manager. He's wondering where the lead went in the AL East. Oh yeah, it went to Boston(stupid sox).
Lastly, has anyone seen Hell Boy II? If so, was it any good? The previews and commercials made the movie look good so I'm kinda interested in seeing it. Of course, the first one looked interesting but it sucked. I just thought the first movie was slow and there were a lot of boring parts. I don't know, maybe I need to watch it again and maybe it'll change my mind. I doubt it though.

I was at the Home Run Derby last night. Josh Hamilton is an animal. The whole place was on their feet, chanting his name, and towards the end we even had some MVP chants going. It was odd to hear that in Yankee stadium for a guy from another team, but he certainly desrves it so far. What a story this guy is.
Yeah, I watched it. That was just incredible. My two favorite things about it were the fact that he hit three 500'+ home runs and also when he hit one home run into the black in center field, some kids ran after the ball with cops running after them. They showed for a second that a cop was strangling one of the kids and another cop was putting the second kid in a headlock. Classic NYC cops.
Haha, Michelle and I were actually at the game as well. We were in the lower deck in left field... I wish Hamilton was a righty. I saw myself on TV for a split second when Uggla was hitting so that was funny. It was pretty sick though. Hamilton put on a show. The rest of the derby was boring compared to his first round performance. We actually left while Morneau was hitting in the finals because I knew Hamilton was pretty much done. It's hard not to like him, especially since I drafted him in 6 of my 8 fantasy leagues this year, haha. The lesson here is to start doing crack immediately. It will turn your life around.
But yeah it was pretty funny when the cops went after those kids. The whole place stopped and watched, even Hamilton. One of the kids actually attacked the other one trying to get the ball from him. Then the cops separated them and "escorted" them away. It wouldn't be NY without an incident like that.
As for Hellboy 2, the first one sucked so much I have no desire to see the second one even though the previews do look cool. I'll let you be the judge.
If the Mets go 0-5 out of the all-star break then I'll kill you.
Went to the game last night. What an experience. Seeing all those Hall of Famers in the beginning was just amazing. I loved that Wade Boggs was wearing his Yankees cap. It was funny whenever a Red Sox player came to bat. I would boo, while at the same time clapping my hands, both expressing my disdain for the uniform, and my desire for them to get a hit. As soon as Billy Wagner came into the gam, I knew that the AL would tie it up again. We stayed through 9 inningd, left at the top of the 10th, drove home an hour and 20 minutes, and the game was still far from over. I finally fell asleep as the 14th ended, so I didn't hear the resolution until this morning. I read today that if it kept going, the next pitchers were going to be David Wright, and JD Drew. The managers were told by MLB bras that the game would NOT end in a tie. That would have been a sight.
What a good game by the Mets last night. I thought they'd come out of the all-star break and lose 5 straight, but that's a good sign that they were able to come back several times last night.
The all-star game is getting dumb at this point. All the managers try to do is to get everyone to play. The NL really needs to start trying to win. Wagner in a non-save situation is always bad so I was not surprised he gave up the lead. It was nice to see Lidge suck though. I hope he goes mental the rest of the year and sucks.
